This Friday the Greyhounds travel to Ionia to take on the Bulldogs. It will be a competitive game, as both teams are looking for there first win of the season. The Greyhounds are confident they can keep the passing game working for them again this week. Game time is 7 pm. Also, you can check out the JV football game vs. Ionia from Thursday night on the internet at MHSAA.tv.

The Eaton Rapids Greyhounds took on the Panthers of Dewitt last Friday night under the lights of Alumni Stadium. The Greyhounds suffered a tough loss against the much faster Panthers, with a final score of 42-0. The Greyhounds were able to move the ball, but struggled to finish off their drives with touchdowns. One bright spot for the Hounds was their passing game. Blake Marsh ('11) threw for 115 yards. His favorite targets of the night were Mitch Smith ('11), Matt Althouse ('11), and Mike Kitsmiller ('13). The Greyhound defense was led by Garrett Johnson ('12) with 6 tackles, and Kanon McVicker ('12), Jacob Angel-Williams ('12), Shelby Sanchez ('11), and Brenin Richardson ('11) with 4 tackles. Despite the loss, the Greyhounds remain confident that they will continue to improve and get their first win of the season. Make sure to support the Greyhounds this week, as they travel to Ionia to take on the Bulldogs this Friday.

Coach Bob Ribby leads the Eaton Rapids Greyhound football team tonight against the DeWitt Panthers. The Greyhounds have been making great strides lately and look to continue this trend against the Panthers. Dewitt, one of the front runners in the CAAC Gold, will be a challenge the Greyhounds in all aspects of the game; it will be nice to see how the Hounds respond to these challenges. Come support the team tonight at 7 pm at Alumni Stadium.
