Written by: Shelby Sanchez '11
The Eaton Rapids Greyhounds took on the Panthers of Dewitt last Friday night under the lights of Alumni Stadium. The Greyhounds suffered a tough loss against the much faster Panthers, with a final score of 42-0. The Greyhounds were able to move the ball, but struggled to finish off their drives with touchdowns. One bright spot for the Hounds was their passing game. Blake Marsh ('11) threw for 115 yards. His favorite targets of the night were Mitch Smith ('11), Matt Althouse ('11), and Mike Kitsmiller ('13). The Greyhound defense was led by Garrett Johnson ('12) with 6 tackles, and Kanon McVicker ('12), Jacob Angel-Williams ('12), Shelby Sanchez ('11), and Brenin Richardson ('11) with 4 tackles. Despite the loss, the Greyhounds remain confident that they will continue to improve and get their first win of the season. Make sure to support the Greyhounds this week, as they travel to Ionia to take on the Bulldogs this Friday.
Game time is 7:00 pm.
